your last posting about ease was the best - I now understand the concept clearly. my neighbor wants me to knit her a sweater for "a size 36", but I know she is bigger than that. so I will ask her for one of her favorite sweaters and measure it before I even begin to tackle her request and wrestle it to the ground.
